Seo Fernandez

Seo Fernandez was born in Havana, Cuba. He started dancing as a young boy. He studied at the school for variety and show, where in 1989 he received the title of professional dancer. Seo worked at various varieties and theatres in Havana, and in 1992 became a member of the famous group for tourism and show Cubanacan. His role there was choreographer, and he created shows that went on tour through South America and Europe. Seo is known also for his singing talents, in 2008 he released his first album "Atacando", with the famous song "Remenea". Thanks to his incredible talent, Seo is known worldwide and constantly taking part in Salsa Congresses.
His dance, choreographer and teacher talents covers a wide spectrum of dance - Hip Hop, Cuban folklore dances, Rumba, Classical dance and Salsa. With his charisma and fantastic energy, Seo is a great inspiration for many dancers.

Marta Mazzaretto

Marta begun dancing Latin dances when she was 10 years old. At age 15 Marta started to study modern dance.
She is a talented Italian dancer and "the new entry" in Seo's group "New Latin Black". Currently Marta as Seo's partner is travelling throughout Europe giving workshops and performing shows.

Yoandy Villaurrutia

Yoandy Villaurrutia was born and raised in Cuba. He received choreographic education, later engaged in well-known professional dance studio Tony Mendez, in Havana. Since the age of 19, he works as a dancer and choreographer in wide variety of creative projects. He's a constant participant and instructor in dance congresses and festivals in Europa.
Yoandy has a unique style and a very strong energy. He is very serious and attentive to the teaching, puts all his soul into the work and into the dance. All the movements are explained detailed. Yoandy easily creates beautiful and unexpected combinations, he teaches improvisation and freedom in the dance.

Diana Rodriguez Garcia

Diana Rodriguez Garcia was born in the city of Santiago de Cuba. She studied modern and contemporary dance at the School of Dance Art’s. Diana got education as teacher and dancer of Cuban folk dances. She has been a student in the company for modern dances, and also a member of Dance Theater of the Caribbean. Later Diana moved to the Folk Ballet Company, where she reached the level of first soloist. She has been a winner of various competitions in Cuba.
Diana is a very charismatic, cheerful and positive person! Always spreading out pure joy and lots of energy not only in her classes, but all around her.

Yorgenis Danger (Yoyo)

Yoyo absolved his training as modern dance and folklore in Habana. He studied dance education and graduate in 2004 at the ISA, the University of Art of Cuba in Havana, with honors. Following his studies, he even worked as a teacher at the ISA in 2002, Yorgenis won the first prize in the choreography competition "Danza" in Havana. He focuses on the traditional dance Bailes Populares Cubanos (Son, Mambo, Cha-cha-cha etc.) as well as Afro - Cuban dances, Rumba modern dance and of course on Salsa, Rueda de casino , Lady- and- Men- styling and Regaetton.
Yoyo is not only an excellent dancer with outstanding didactic skills, but also an enthusiastic and charismatic person, whose positive attitude electrifies the audience and his students immediately.

Beamiris Rodriguez (Bea)

Bea was born in the Havana, Cuba. She has been dancing since young age and completed her professional education at the “Escuela de Arte Leonardo Luberta” in the Isla de la Juventud, Cuba. After that, Bea moved for one year to Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) to work at the “Move dance academy” as dancer and dance teacher. In 1997 Bea moved permanently to Germany where she lived for about 10 years. Since her arrival to Europe, her talent as teacher, performer and choreographer could not go unnoticed in the international salsa scene. Bea's dance style is very feminine charming and flexible. Her teaching is inspiring, fun but in the same time highly technical.

Fabrizio Micciche

Fabrizio, a native from Italy, belongs to the technically most talented dance instructors of the scene. Above all with his very individual style – no matter if Salsa or Rumba – he enthuses on the most important festivals all over Europe. Especially in Germany and in his up to date adopted home, the Netherlands, Fab has a big fan community. Big charisma, humor, some Cuban coolness and a big heart for the Cuban culture, music and dance.

Stefanie Steinbach

Stefanie Steinbach is the dance partner of Emilito Herrera since 2010. She teaches, organizes and choreographes at the dance school Cuban Salsa Power and trained together with Emilito the German Champions in 2011 and 2013.
Stefanie is a sincere, funny and talented teacher, as well as great dance partner.

Emilito Herrera

Emilito Herrera was born in Cuba and has been dancing various Latin dances since the age of 5, especially Salsa. Since 2002 he has been living in Germany, where he manages his salsa dance school Cuban Salsa Power in Augsburg. He has won a reputation as an amusing, high-spirited dancer and instructor who can boast of an enormous talent. He surely demonstrates how he puts all his heart and passion into getting people to move to the rhythms of Latin America. Together with his group Cuban Salsa Power he was the German Champion in Rueda de Casino in 2007, in collaboration with Reynaldo Salazar in 2011 and in 2013. Since 2005 he has been teaching at international festivals in Europe, for example CUBAMEMUCHO (Warsaw, Toulouse, Budapest, Amsterdam and of course Munich), RUEDAFESTIVAL (Stuttgart), SALSA STRAS' FESTIVAL (Straßburg), DIAS CUBANOS (Amsterdam), TIMBACHATA (Gran Canaria) and many more. At these events, he often danced with the most popular salsa bands like La Reve, Los Van Van, Charanga Habanera, Calle Real, Manolito Simonet and many more.
Emilito is amusing, inspiring and great teacher. His lessons are filled with pure joy, positive energy and laughter.

Mailevis Ortega Fernandez

Mailevis comes from Artemisa, a province next to Havana, Cuba. This is the place where she learned her first dancing steps. At the age of 8 Mailevis started studying Ballet. She studied at the Vacational School of Art (EVA). Movement, composition and history of such dances as Son, Danzon, Dansonete, Salsa, Afro-Cubano, Ballet (and many others) is what Mailevis is really good at. After she graduated EVA, she joined National Cuba Circus school. Later she started her carrier as cabaret dancer and with the help of great teacher, she explored the big dancing world as solo dancer in several groups and companies as in Caribbean, as European countries.
Mailevis says: “Today I am living dynamic and active live as Cuban dance guest teacher in various places from the West to East - from Spain to United Arab Emirates. I am motivated not to stop at what I have reached but to continue exploring people and my dancing and teaching abilities. For the moment Latvia is a place which I like and where I have decided to stay for improving me and sharing love towards dance. It is combination of, my passion to the dance, my sacrifice, huge love and effort of my parents when I was a child and people that I have met during my life journey. I admit that I have nothing to regret and with all the people around me I have reached my dream – dancing for me is life; and my life is colorful! Do not hesitate – join and enjoy!”

Reinaldo Powell

Reinaldo was born in Cuba, afterward he became an international Salsa instructor. He is the first licensed instructor and judge in the International Dance Council of Ukraine. In 2007, 2009 and 2011, he won "Man of the Year" title for Salsa development in Ukraine. Reinaldo has been participant in various international competitions, as well as artist and choreographer in TV shows. He is organizer of several dance festivals in Ukraine.
Reinaldo's joy of life, humor and energy make the classes very special. He is a teacher with many years of experience and knowledge.

Yuliya Gannochko

Since her childhood, Yuliya is passionate about dance and music. When she was practicing folk dancing and piano. She has a higher education as a choreographer. Since 1999, together with Reinaldo, Yuliya runs the largest Salsa school in Ukraine. She is a participant and laureate of various international competitions, choreographer and organizer of several dance festivals in Ukraine.
Her going into details of dance movements and technical explanations, makes the learning process very easy and understandable. Yuliya creates a bright mood in classes with her sincerity and joy.

Barrio Latino

Formed in 2008, Barrio Latino is the first Timba orchestra in Hungary. There were several musicians and singers working with the group for the past years, but with the renewal of the project in 2013 a new lead singer from Honduras, Mario Ochoa joined the band.
The bands’ music was recognized by Grammy award winning sound engineer Michael Lazarus, and, as a consequence of this collaboration, Barrio Latino’s debut single has been released on the USA-based record label Latin Pulse Music.
Since then, the song has beed played by radios and salsa DJs in more than 50 countries all around the world. Even one of the famous hotel in Havana, Cuba (called Capri) used the band’s music in their promotional video.

Competition Rules:
  • The aim of the competition is to show dancers' ability to improvize Rueda de Casino, dancing in 2 couples with music chosen by organizers.
  • Participants have to form their teams (2 leaders, 2 followers) and register their team till September 10, 2016 (registration to email ).
  • In the competition - at least one cantante in the team calling figures loud and clear, no prepared choreography allowed.
  • Music is chosen by organizers.

  • rhythm,
  • musicality,
  • technique,
  • emotions.
Judges - international Cuban Salsa and Rueda de Casino teachers.
